Peter Manning has been involved in China business development work for thirteen years.  He has an MBA from Henley Management College and in 2000 spent 15 months at the Beijing Foreign Studies University on an European Managers Training Program studying Mandarin and the Chinese Business Environment.  He then worked in Beijing as a Senior Consultant for a leadership and organisation effectiveness consultancy, where he led performance improvement projects for multinational clients such as Maersk and the global electronic manufacturing services company, Elcoteq.  He returned to the UK in 2004 and took up his current position with Essex County Council in 2006.
